Able and free Mr. Peter Hayden was founded in scene-free tranquil small town of Kankaanpää, Finland in the beginning of this century. With genuine power of will and devotion they have travelled through time and space and are now here to bring you their time-cultivating improvisations and visionary metaphysics. Acquiring instruction from plain ambience of surrounding nature, their instrumentations and knowledge reach out for the infinite. Rugged landscapes of boreal forests and infertile spectrum of northern flora. All this serenity made it possible for something as free-form and magnificent as Mr. Peter Hayden to evolve.
The first years of their existence Mr. Peter Hayden spent refining their vision and recording various demonstrations. Year 2006 marked the first official release in form of a 7-inch record, First Cycle Complete.
Reaching the end of 00’s group begun composing a full-length album. After over a year of intense work the first album was released in August 2010. Faster Than Speed is a study on time, a certain kind of a guide to time travel. Two song album dives deep into the concept of time and personal perceptions of it. It’s all about altering the time through your mind; entering the scheme of mental time travel. Faster Than Speed was described by the critics as breathless and mesmerizing, effortless and hypnotic.
As new material was prepared, the group itself had slowly become more profound and balanced, feeling affinity towards harmony and freedom. Intertwine, crushing, in-depth and highly cosmic were terms used to portray Hayden’s impact. After two years in the making, in May 2012, they were ready to release their second full-length album. Born A Trip, second part of the trilogy, was again received well by both critics and fans across the Europe and now US. It was described by the group as: "The soundtrack for your spiritual rebirth. Walls of consciousness crumble and planets melt into mind-eroding seas of acid. No more waves and no more cores. This space-age travelogue of a drug-lazed time-trip will be all you need to feel. What is left when time and form have stepped aside? Shadows of final ideas, light and stream of eternal substance, the tension of final entity? Mr. Peter Hayden have gone through phases and planes of inevitable and come across their final chapter of trilogy. Diving another level deeper and super-positioning their minds the chapter will reach its end, in form of a double album, set to be released late 2013.
